Ken Wallin has been painting nature, villages and
the landscapes for over 25 years. His passion for the arts
began in the 4th grade when he finished his work on
time and his teacher gave him a paint brush to work on a mural
in the class to give him something to do. Ken has never looked
back and has been painting ever since that magical moment.
Since that time, Ken experienced training through various
artists from the New York Artists League: France, the southwest
and with regional artists that have helped him create his own
unique style with paint brush and palette knife. His
inspiration comes from his travels with his photographer wife,
Judy. These creative art adventures have taken them around the
world. His favorite locations are France, Italy, Greece,
Alaska, Costa Rica and the coastal areas of the U.S. His art
patrons often describe his work as powerful, magnetic with a
profound use of color to convey his passion for a particular
region of the world’s landscape. His work has been part of solo
and group exhibitions with numerous awards for his use of color
and electricity in his oils. His patrons and art collectors are
located throughout the U.S. and abroad. |
Ken has combined his training in the arts with a
PhD degree in counseling psychology. He has self published
works in anger control, positive thinking and how to use the
arts and creativity as a tool for health and healing. He uses
his drawing talents in illustrations to convey the message of
his published works in conflict management. He has recently
published a book of his art and painting journeys around the
world called “The Creative Art Adventures of Ken Wallin.” This
book contains over 80 images of his work and inspirational
messages and is available at the Summit One Gallery. Ken has
recently published an instructional DVD that provides an
intensive learning experience for the artist wanting to learn
how to get loose and free with oil paint through palette knife
and brush. Again, this can be purchased at the Summit Gallery.
Summit One Gallery is now representing Ken’s
work in the North Carolina area. Art patrons will want to
follow his painting adventures throughout the Carolinas and
southern coastal states to view his interpretation of the local
landscape, mountain vistas, water falls, and coastal life of the
area. |
