Statement
Through painting, Lonnie Busch engages an energetic exploration of the psyche
through symbols, color and texture. Compositions are born of
automatic drawing, intuitive images and dreams, coupled with a
spontaneous combination of mediums, both wet and dry pigments.
Immediacy, rather than planning and execution, augments the imagery
of the arcane. And while art is not a surrogate for the experience
of psyche, it is a rich and noble vehicle for contemplation of it…
