Texture/Collector Series:  I create tension by breaking the surface of the canvas with tactile texture that evokes remembrances of feelings, times, places, and things the viewer has experienced, seen, and touched. The texture engages the viewer with the canvas, which comes alive with movement.  Each texture is developed with layers of emulsions, mediums, found and collected objects and then painted with luminous colors.

 Abstract Expression Series:  These works are elegant paintings with lively colors and expressive movement of line.  Attention to brushstroke, texture and to surface quality allows all parts of the canvas to play an equal role in the whole piece.
The artist’s energy is transmitted to the canvas to create a sense of excitement or calm.
