Statement
God has gifted me with an artist's eye, a creative mind, and a
spirit filled with His love. I like to think that my work is a
reflection of God within me and that my viewers are somehow able to
feel this. I include Scripture in my titles and believe that this
adds to the total experience of feeling God's presence and His
immense love for each one of us.
I love
color and texture in bold brush strokes, often like a surprise
pentimento. My paintings are like an onion waiting to be
peeled, layer by layer until the eye can see the underlying image.
I experiment with different types of paints and stains while drawing
in to the canvas purposefully to create the desired images,
gestures, or movements.
